FINAL: Oklahoma 4, Georgia 3; OU to semis
Oklahoma outlasted Georgia, winning 4-3, to move to 2-0 in the Men's College World Series and is now one win away from the championship series.
The Bulldogs will next rematch with Texas at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Check out some of the most notable numbers and moments from the contest:

- They threw a combined 219 pitches

- Georgia's Daniel Jackson hit his 32nd home run of the season 447 feet, the third longest homer at the MCWS since the move to Charles Schwab Field

The score hasn't changed in Omaha over the last two innings, largely because of the pitcher's duel that's developed. Each starter has gotten stronger and gained confidence by the pitch.

- It was his eighth and ninth strikeouts of the night

- The last MCWS game where both starting pitchers threw 7+ innings was Game 13 in 2023

Kolby, Kyle Branch brothers make MCWS history
Oklahoma Athletics
Georgia's Kolby and Oklahoma's Kyle Branch made Men's College World Series history, becoming the first instance of brothers playing against each other in a MCWS game.
The Branch family is in attendance for the matchup, wearing custom jerseys and hats to show support on both sides. When asked about who they are rooting for by ESPN, Rusty, the dad, said jokingly "whoever we think can beat Texas the easiest, we're rooting for other team to win."
NCAA.com's Lawrence Price wrote a story about the two brothers earlier today, talking to the both of them and both parents. [Check it out here.](/content/news/baseball/article/2026-06-15/mcws-gives-brothers-kolby-kyle-branch-full-circle-family-moment-georgia-vs-oklahoma ""/index.html)

End of 1: Oklahoma 3, Georgia 0
The first inning has treated Georgia and Oklahoma well throughout the NCAA tournament, but especially in their Men's College World Series first round matchups — the Bulldogs scored four and the Sooners plated two.
UGA wasn't able to replicate that, but OU did, racing out to a 3-0 lead in this winner's bracket game.
Here's how it happened:
- 1: Jason Walk doubled to right center
- Reached base in 19 straight games
- 2: Camden Johnson hit-by-pitch
- Walk and Johnson advanced a base due to failed pickoff attempt and throwing error
- 3: Deiten LaChance grounded out to shortstop, scores Walk
- 4: Jaxon Willits homered to right center, two RBIs
24% of the team's home runs this season have been hit in the NCAA tournament
